The Scorpion A-Series CSM inflatable oil containment boom is a heavy-duty off shore containment system that can be used to encompass and contain oil spills and other floating pollutants when an incident occurs in demanding and harsh sea and weather conditions, typically in off-shore and open waters operations. Made from special rubber compound, coated with CSM the seamless boom is extremely durable, able to withstand demanding offshore marine conditions and aggressive hydrocarbons. These materials are resistant to oil, chemicals, and UV radiation. The booms consist of multiple air inflatable chambers that provide high buoyancy and outstanding heave response. The underwater portion of the boom (skirt) helps contain the oil within the designated area.
