Oil Spill Response Career Opportunities

We are seeking a Technical Sales Assistant for our Global Sales Division at New Naval’s Headquarters in Lavrio, Attica.


  • Efficiently execute daily sales support tasks that include commercial and technical proposals and quotes, document handling, file management, enquiry follow up, CRM/ERP data input and customer feedback. Manage the administrative procedures within the sales process.
  • Formulate competitive bids/estimates/quotations, consider the best available equipment or products and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each enquiry.
  • Monitor and follow up of all stages from confirmation to final delivery.
  • Manage vendor registrations and business profiles.
  • Source suppliers for specific products or spares, negotiate and communicate with them.
  • Schedule and document minutes of meetings of sales team.
  • Undertake and execute day to day tasks related to importing and exporting products in conjunction with customs regulations.
  • Monitor transport contracts, pricing, and ensure all shipments are cleared in a timely manner, in cooperation with customs agents or forwarders.
  • Potentially participate in European funded programs, such as HORIZON 2020.
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance for customer orders, account statuses and relevant problems.
  • Review pending orders and specific customer requests to ensure excellent customer service and customer experience.
  • Suggest sales process improvements.
  • Respond in an organized, timely manner to support or follow up technical or logistics issues raised from clients.
  • Report directly to our Technical Sales Engineer.

Candidate profile:

  • A minimum of two years of previous experience in technical sales.
  • Knowledge of or experience in either pumps, engines, textiles or hydraulics would be a plus.
  • Experience in preparing quotations, bids, invoicing and handling shipments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language.
  • Excellent use of MS Office, mainly Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience in CRM systems, ideally SOFT1.
  • Advanced planning and reporting skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, commitment to collaboration and team oriented.
  • Ability to handle and resolve potential problems in a timely and calm manner.

Additional candidate achievements considered beneficial (but not mandatory):

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (University – TEI or AEI) or related technical field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics.
  • Knowledge of Soft 1 / ERP system.
  • Knowledge of additional foreign language.
